I finally went down to the track tonight and made it to the scale used on the return road to weigh the cars. It's pretty accurate and was within 1# of my home scale when I got on it by myself because I was surprised at what I saw.
The reading was 7958#. This was for my 3500 4X4 quad with a factory bedliner, less than 1/4 tank of fuel, a jeraco low cap, an empty BBQ propane tank, a 10 gal. tote as my "crash box" weighing about 50#, 2 adults, 2 children w/ car seats and not too much else.
My reggie said 6900 and change and I've been trying to estimate my running weight for a while now. I'm glad I got weighed, I'm not commercial but I might get treated like such someday. I can think of 2 roads that I probally shouldn't drive on anymore!
