I finally went down to the track tonight and made it to the scale used on the return road to weigh the cars. It's pretty accurate and was within 1# of my home scale when I got on it by myself because I was surprised at what I saw.

The reading was 7958#. This was for my 3500 4X4 quad with a factory bedliner, less than 1/4 tank of fuel, a jeraco low cap, an empty BBQ propane tank, a 10 gal. tote as my "crash box" weighing about 50#, 2 adults, 2 children w/ car seats and not too much else.

My reggie said 6900 and change and I've been trying to estimate my running weight for a while now. I'm glad I got weighed, I'm not commercial but I might get treated like such someday. I can think of 2 roads that I probally shouldn't drive on anymore!

The scales at the track I go to top out at 6000lbs. We weighed front and back axle and they told me it was 7395lbs than night with me in it and about 1/2 tank.

Went to the public scales a couple of weeks ago and the truck empty with 1/8 tank without me was 7020lbs. So with my 175lbs and what ever the extra diesel weighs seems pretty close.

7025 lbs here. Truck is in sig, it's a 1 ton shortbed 4x4 with CTD obviously and G-56, and that was completely full of fuel.

7080 with full load of fuel.

Only things that were in the truck that were not stock on SLT are spray in bed liner ~50#, double deep pan ~20#, and the hitches (reverse king pin and Class IV and Class V)~200# so the wet weight of my truck was pretty close to the registration paperwork of 6800.

WOW BIG BOB, you've got some weight there! I think my main item is the cap. It's real sturdy, and I guess it weighs more than I thought. Does anyone have weight restricted roads in their areas? I have a 3 ton cap for the Brooklyn bridge (but I see heavier repair contract vehicles on it all the time) and a 4 ton limit on the FDR drive. Sometimes I have to go on these roads.

Mine weighed in at 8750. I had two people on board (300+-), 55gals of diesel (350+-), some tools (100+-), B&W Companion hitch (150+-), ReTrax roll top cover (100+-), air horn, pump and tank (30+-), spayed in liner (50?), Guardian running boards (100+-). Weighed more then I thought it would...

Just a note on weights. I switched rims and sets of 315s. A BFG 315/70R/17 on a stock alloy wheel weighs 85. 5lbs. A stock Chrome Clad wheel weighs 41lbs with no tire.

As soon as I get a 315 unmounted from alloy I will weigh the stock alloy and stock chrome wheel with a 315 mounted. Just numbers to know.

That means 5 315s mounted on stock alloys would weigh 427. 5lbs. I assume that the steel chrome clad wheels are a little heavier. Thats a lot of tire and wheel to move and haul.
