The next morning the temps were in the 40's. He went to start his truck and noticed the battery voltage was going up and down. When he turned on his head lights, they went dim every few seconds. Strange he thought. I'll ask the guys on the TDR and see what they think it is.

The guys on the TDR told him it was his grid heaters cycling on and off. Apparently they do that for about a minute or so after start-up when it is cold outside to warm up the air going into the engine.

Annoyed by the power drain, he started a new thread wondering if he should remove these heaters and how much hp, torque, and mpg's he would gain. A couple guys quickly offered to sell him their heater delete block.

Then a couple more guys said put on an intake while you are at it. P-bar pushing the CFM+ "Plastic Fantastic" and BOB 4X4

pushing AFE "Heatsink". Confused all the more He got hooked on the "diesel porn"
