Intel made chips after the 8086? WOW!!! I'm learning all sorts of stuff today.

Hrmph Now where have I heard somethin' like that before :-laf

"Dodge made a truck after 1993?-WOW!... I'm learning all sorts of stuff today"

can't imagine :-laf

Although, I am thinking about getting a PS3 to run Yellowdog Linux on. I am so use to playing video games with a keyboard that the console controllers just seem odd. The 360 controller can be used in Windows Vista (XP too?) for navigating Windows Live or something.

Now if I could plug the 360 controller into a 3rd gen and steer that would be cool too. Think "SPY HUNTER" smoke screen and the Peter Gunn theme song

I still love my NES and play it (when it works lol)

Just yesterday i got a cd for my PC of about 700 of the Nintendo games plus the games from super Nintendo and N64

i can even put the codes from game genie in :-laf

its pretty cool everything is the same except its a bit tough to get use to using the keyboard keys when im so use to the NES controller

ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!

Yep, the neighbor had pong, but I had to wait for the 2600, PITFALL!, then its was the arcade uprights that ate enough $ in quarters to buy a new 3500 fully loaded. Then my mom bought a NES. After that, I got a PS1, and a few years ago, I got an Xbox. I am still waiting until the 360 takes its next drop in price, then I'll get it (I am kinda a cheap ******* that way :-laf ). I am on Xbox live, and if you get the right guys playing, its a blast. My sister in law has a PS@ and Guitar Hero II, and it ROCKS, (pun intended!!)

I cant wait to get the 360 and play GEARS and Lost Planet to name a few. I salivate all over myself when we cruise through the mall past the video game stores.

TTT, have you heard the Megadeth song Gears of War?

Later, Jim

One of my favorite tunes . . well that Peace sells , Hangar 18 , symphony of distruction , Angry again to name a couple. This is the second time that they did a song for a video game The other if memory serves me right was for Tomb raider???

I think Mustaine got ****** about something in regards to the Tomb Raider deal, but I know he did a couple for the Duke Nukem "Music to Score By" cd.

So, whats going to win out? HD or Blu-ray?

HD. Blu-ray needs to fail to teach Sony a lesson in consumer trust. hve you ever noticed how Sony is a pain in the arse with all of their proprietary soft-and hard ware? I. E camcorders. The ONLY way you can edit anything easy with their equipment is via their proprietary software. No other off the shelf products work. Look at the memory stick. Reads horribly slow , and the Duo . . incompattible with every card reader out there. SD works for soooooo many different aplications Phones , GPS units , Cameras , cam corders , pda's , micro pc's oh but wait ... naaahhh. . not Sony. Yes they build a great product but man get over yourselves Sony and become Market friendly! i-Link ... HA! That's another joke. Blu-ray O. K O. K so it is not so much Sony technology But technology developed by the board of directors for:

Apple Computer, Inc.

Dell Inc.

Hewlett Packard Company

Hitachi, Ltd.

LG Electronics Inc.

Matsu****a Electric Industrial Co. , Ltd.

Mitsubishi Electric Corporation

Pioneer Corporation

Royal Philips Electronics

Samsung Electronics Co. , Ltd.

Sharp Corporation

Sony Corporation

Sun Microsystems, Inc.

TDK Corporation

Thomson Multimedia

Twentieth Century Fox

Walt Disney Pictures

Warner Bros. Entertainment

.

Cool eh ... . Notice How SONY slathered their logonic feecies all over Blu-ray technology? Look closely at the PS3 game release titles and brought to you by's. 10$ says every name up there will be used somewhere in wicked teeny print on the back of the game cover ... IF ANY but Sony will be the first in line.

P'O'd ... yeah maybee. Maybee because I have spent alot of money on Sony products in the past and asked for help via their own tech department for what seems like days on my 1300 dollar Mini DV recorder (DCR-ip7) and they can't help me because a "Third party" software maker made the software and no longer does buisness with them. . ... . Sorry *Click* #@$%! #@$%!

Yet plug in my daughter's Cannon . . Via a Pcmcia fire wire card and ding instant working with more options. Oh and get this ... WITH OFF THE SHELF SONY SOFTWARE ... SONY VEGAS STUDIOS :rolleyes: :{

from what i have read/heard, it will be the adult film industry that decides the winning format. . vhs/beta was decided that way. .

my vote is for bluray, but hd will probably end up being the more popular one
