I went on a bit of a spending spree this week. I bought a snowmobile on monday to get me a my snowboard into the back country. I bought a little bit more sled than I needed, but it goes fast. I had brought it by the power sports shop for a mini service. I went to pick it up last night. I backed up to the loading ramp and shut off my truck. went to start it again to get a little closer to the ramp. would not build a fire. now my fuel gauge does not work so my first thought is I miss calculated my miles to empty. cracked bleader pushed primer, lots o fuel. swapped relays to disprove burnt relay. checked fuses. still nothing. went to dinner came back tried once more, still no go. called a tow truck to get me home. 8:30 am called mobile equipment repair he said that he would come give me a ride to work and gett my keys. when he showed up he had my truck running in under 15 secs. I never thought to look a the fuel shut off solenoid (or what ever it is call). it had stuck closed. now this morning I went to pick up my sled again and locked both sets of keys in my running truck. I do not understand why my truck is so sore about this I had it detailed this week so as to not make it feel neglected . LOL

I bought a 2003 Polaris RMK 700.

I have been lazy on filling out the sig.

My truck is a 96, CC, 5 speed, non-EGR, Silencer ring gone, 4" pipe w/no B. S. , 222,000 miles,

I have an Idea to fix my truck. I priced the fuel shutdown solenoid ($175-250). I can think of other things that I could spend that money on. so here is my Idea, a bicycle shift lever and cable to inside the cab to open and close the valve, cost? Free to me since I own a bicycle shop. I have a couple of old fords that have choke controls like that. What do you think?

I am running a cable off of a semi for my fuel shut off... have been for a couple of months... when i got the truck it had a truck choke cable on it... it didnt last... i was to hard to use... but this cable works perfect... and it was cheaper than a new solenoid...
