The first few days I owned the truck, I really only heard the turbo when I gave it some go juice or when climbing hills. I took a 200 mile trip and before I got to the end of it I realized I seem to be hearing the turbo a lot more, like all the time. Its been that way since. I don't really mind, but wonder why this is and if something may be wrong. I looked it over for anything that might be loose, disconnected, etc, but saw nothing obviously wrong. Any ideas?

mine did also ... . the problem was the foam pad that seals the hood to the cowl... i glued it back down and it seems to have helped, i think it is less noisy... but then again i striaght-piped the truck before i glued it back, so who knows

noise

Mine got louder...

The tone at idle is different. Could high egt effect the blades angles? I was reading on the Ford website and they were talking about somthing like 1500 deg can be hot enough to melt the fins. I've seen the pyro down at 7-o-clock (1700-1800) and the thing held together but the tone seems different. Is there a way to tell if damage has been done to the turbo?
