I have a friend in Robertsdale, AL just Tuesday purchase a loaded up Tradesman 3500 DRW at about $65,000 MSRP.

Just this evening, I located this one on Auto Trader at a dealership in Chattanooga, TN.

It comes in at $70,875.00......and I think every box was checked on this ordered unit. :eek:

I’m sure @Cummins12V98 will approve as it has 4.10’s, rear air, and MoPar 30k hitch. :p

I was playing with the Ram "Build and Price" website and found special badging aside, you can build comparably equipped trucks across the levels. What happens, the packaging incentives (standard equipment) can make the the difference between pricing on these trucks.

It's actually pretty nice that you can equip a Tradesman the way you want it... used to have to purchase higher level due to limited option offerings on the lower end and packaging on the higher end trucks.

I looked at the window sticker again and it does have the 8.4 uconnect display. So my complains went down one notch. When we purchased on 2015, we did not want nav, the one we purchase had it and we now use it all the time. Our just purchased Ford Edge ST sync system is years behind what FCA has with uconnect 8.4 and the 7" EVIC programmable cluster.
 
Still don't like the idea of spending all that coin on Tradesman no matter how it's equipped, several of these trucks at work, those seats are hard, going to spend the money get a Laramie or higher that's all.:rolleyes:

Good to see others do not want to sit on an apple crate!! We drove a couple Tradesman's while shopping trucks.

Maybe if you didn’t have a case of “Gone Ass” you’d see that the Tradesman seats actually sit fairly decently.
Foam was getting a little weak on my 2014 3500 Tradesman at 360k miles, but far from an Apple crate. Current seats in the 4500 are at 238k miles, and although vinyl, are not broken down.
 
That's more than I am willing to pay. At 70+ and on a fix income, I am willing to use my 2008 truck to pull my trailer with.
This trucks has everything I want on it including a GPS that works for pulling trailers. Granted I have added some items to my truck but not 30K worth of items.
 
Back for seconds... I really like the way FCA has options and option packages... I have a loaded 2014 Jeep Wrangler Sport, thanks to packaging and options. Still about $4K cheaper than Sahara and about $9K less than a Rubican.

We should give credit where due... FCA has a great marketing and sales strategy that is working.

I built a bullet proof Ram CC 35004x4 dually HO Aisin 4.10s trailer prep, Communist Chinese 30K Lb hitch for about $63K MSRP. Nice meat and potatoes truck with great capability.

Although I’ve never ridden in a Tradesman, IMO the seats in my 2014 Laramie are terrible compared to some. IMO my sons Bighorn cloth seats are far more comfortable , same with my Ford Superduty with cloth seats . Nothing to brag about with those Laramie seats .

And, if one looks at Geno’s Garage, the same seat foam is used on most all of the trim levels, except those with ventilated seats.

I’ve heard that same song and dance about the Longhorn seats how comfortable , same seats as the Laramie , identical shape , padding etc. And yes ventilated same as the Longhorn , but not as ugly :D Apparently they’ve never sat or driven a truck with comfortable seats :rolleyes:
 
Love the work vinyl seats in my Tradesman and rubber mat floor.

Of course we have a nice family ride with all the bells and whistles which I enjoy as well.

I have no clue why any of these auto companies try to create their own nav and display systems. I use my phone for everything and just use the Media button, podcasts, music, directions.

Never used or saw the 12" but doubt it would change my mind.

Family rig has the fancy heads up display in the windshield, that is pretty cool and easy to get used too. Does FCA have that in the loaded models?

I know they all integrate Android Auto and the Apple Car deal now. But the rest is just clunky for my use, its easier to use the phone.

I have the Sync 3 with factory Nav in my 2018 F150. It works very well, but the maps were literally out of date when the truck was delivered. I believe that there is an upgrade available now or one coming soon, but quite far behind google maps, waze, etc.

I do like the Andriod Auto and the ability to drive Waze directly through the factory screen however.
