So I sent my friend to a Dodge dealer to inquire about upgrading from his 02 Ford 250, PSD extra cab to a 03 2500 QC.
So he sees a truck he likes and he calls me. I go onto the dealer website, print out the sticker price. Put all the options into Kelly and get the invoice price. This is after the saleman tries to tell him he doesn't "really" have an invoice.
Anyway, the truck sticker was 40,835 and the invoice was 36,066
Kelly says trade in for his Ford was 27,100
After much arguing, the best deal the dealer would give him was 24k for his ford and 37,600 to buy the dodge, including the 2500 rebate.
I told him the dealer was smoking dope to go somewhere else, he should be able to buy that truck for 34,100 - 34,500 with no huge haggling.
