Hi guys,

After months of waiting I took delivery of my 2002 Dodge RAM CTD on Saturday. The only thing I can say is that it's everything I hoped it would be and more. I now see why everyone is so hooked on their trucks. Thanks to all those who helped during the ordering and waiting stages. Now let the BOMB'n begin. :D :D :D

Ray,

Congratulations! I know exactly how you feel. I spent this weekend installing the B&W gooseneck/5th wheel hitch, the Jordan brake controller and the 7-pin plug in the bed. We took the 5ver out for a test tow Sunday morning - boy, I've got some adjustments to make coming from that V-10 and automatic! 388 miles on the truck and counting... . :)

Ray - Congrats on the new truck. Man you gotta love someone that just gets the truck and is already talking of BOMBing:D

Anybody know what they changed on the 2002, over the late model 2001. 5?????By the way - when is the latest rumor about the new 03 CTD's, i. e. the new body change etc. Also, will it be exactly like the 2002 half ton, i. e. body I mean????

Congratulations Ray. My '02 is still sitting in an unloading yard in Salt Lake City. Only 250 miles away; so close, yet so far ...

Congratulations! I can certainly understand why you were not at Diesel Thunder in Spokane! These truck never cease to amaze me!

ENJOY YOUR RIDE!

Mopar To You, what color is your truck? I can see the trucks from where I work in salt lake by the railroad yard where they unload them! Its scary to see the way some of those guys drive those new cars and trucks from the loading docks to the yards. Im sure it will be on it way soon they dont stay there very long, they have trucks coming every day to take them away. :D

Chuck,

My truck is a bright silver 3500 Quad Cab 4x4. The trucks don't get to my dealership until after 9 PM, and it wasn't going to be on the load for today, so I'm hopeful that it will be delivered tomorrow night.

Mopar To You

Mopar ToYOU, I will try to watch the trucks tomorrow to see if I can see it! I will let you know If i do. chuck. :D

BIG BOB

Sorry I didnt make it to the event on Saturday. They took a extra day getting my truck ready so I couldn't pick it up until Saturday which ended up taking most of the day. Count me in for the next one.

Thanks,

Truck.

MoParToYou, Your truck could be on its way, they took several truck loads out today and were still loading and unloading even as I left for home. I saw several Silver Rams leave the yard. Good luck. chuck. :)

THANK YOU CHUCK! I called Chrysler this morning and got the rail car number. Then I called Union Pacific and found out that my trucks rail car arrived in Salt Lake City yesterday, and was due to depart for Idaho this afternoon. That means my truck has already been unloaded from the rail car, and should have been loaded on a transport truck today. If that is the case it should arrive in Cedar City sometime late tonight. I can't wait, I've already called the dealer and told him to have the papers ready to sign by noon tomorrow. Then I need to install the brake controller on Thursday, and we're off to the mountains with the 11,500 lb. toy hauler trailer on Friday.

Now didn't I read somewhere that the best way to break in a Cummins diesel is to hook the heaviest load you've got to it, and put it to work? :D :D :D

I love the sound of children on Christmas morn:) :) Good luck and may all you new truck owners have many happy miles. Love my 97 beast!!

Went to the dealer yesterday and still no truck. However they had some 2002 models there. Well, it didn't make me happy so I left. My truck is in Phoenix as of 8-16-01, Las vegas is only 287 miles away. Why is it taking so long to get here. (5 days and counting) Its only a 5 or 6 hour drive?
