Hey guys I want to put a 4in on my truck what do you suggest I really would like to get a stainless and how did the 4in help your truck thanks!

The 4" really shines when towing. Lower EGT's are always a plus and you get a nice sounding truck as a bonus. Don't believe that it will increase mpg. I liked the JRE so that's what I got.

Your gonna pay no matter what you go with. I went a cheaper route, seemed that way, and bought a Dynomax resonator back 4" system just under $300. I then bought a 8' of 4" straight pipe and cut the exhaut just after the down pipe and connected the straight pipe. I used to run the dynomax ultra flow muffler but have since removed it to run just straight pipe. I would still like to replace the down pipe but thats anywhere from $125 and up.

I have sounds of both systems, with the muffler and straight pipe on my web site

A first I was looking at the ATS dual system but then after figuring that I would be nuts to spend the money when I could use it else where (can you said Edge Comp?)

I ended up with the Jardine system. I am happy with it.

Had a local muffler shop cut out the old system and help them bolt in the kit. A few tack welds and a custom tip finished it off.

You have to love the look of a 5" chrome tip hanging off the back of the truck. It makes ricers jealous. :D

Jardine!!!

The system fits wonderful and I believe he is offering free shipping again as well. It also comes with a lifetime gaurantee. So you get the warranty of a stainless system for 1/2 the cost.

I don't think there is much of a performance gains to be had from a 4 inch system unless you are really modified. Personally I didn't see any difference in egt's, spoolup, or performance when I installed mine. But then again I had already removed the resonator and installed a Walker straight through muffler on the 3 inch system. The 4 inch system does sound better in my opinion.

I guess it really depends on what you already have installed on your truck and what you want from it as to where your money is best spent... . If performance is what you want and you haven't added a box I would spend my money there. You will see a lot more change with a PE-Comp or similiar product.

I have the DD system, it sounds great. I did not install it so I don't know how hard it was. The guy at the shop that did the install said it was a piece of cake.

I don't think the 4" is a necessity unless you tow.
