I want a bike!

I think I may be getting an '05 BMW F 650 GS Dakar. I work in Parker, CO, and have been commuting with my truck from Colorado Springs. Now, girlfriend and I are moving across the road from work, so I can walk to work. I am guessing I will save about $100 worth of diesel a month. Plus I got a raise!

I was kind of in the same situation you are in a few years ago. I wasn't really sure what I wanted, but I didn't want a rocket or a total cruiser - so I went with a Ducati Monster. It was a 2002, and it was pretty sweet. It was the smallest one, 620 cc, but it rode real nice and it was a great first bike (even though I have riden for many years). After about a year, it was just too small, so I bought a used Ducati St2 (944cc). It has hard saddle bags and it's more up-right then most Duc's, but it rides great. It make a great communter bike. I used to ride this to/from work all the time (when the weather was perfect). It mostly sits in my garage right now :{ My wife was going to make me sell it after my daughter was born, but maybe a year or two I can spend a little more time on it
