I Have A Stock Air Box With A Amsoil Nanofiber Filter And I Did The Factory Air Box Mod With The 4 Inch Hole Coming Up From Under Neath , My Question Is What Can I Do To Get More Turbo Whistle ? Tone Ring Is Out , Cool Blue Hose Is On , Just Put A Super Phat Shaft 62 Turbo On It , So What Else Can I Do ?:-{}

Don't know about the drop in filter but I put the S&B intake on for abour $180 and it whistled a lot, then took the ring out and whistled even more, I love it. !!!

Click on the Whistler Intake link in my signature. It sounds like an F-18 taking off.

the banks intake is pretty loud as well and i just have a stock turbo haha so would that make it louder if i get an aftermarket one?

I believe that Amsoil has a line of filters to replace the conical ones similar to Airraid etc.

They are listed under EaAu on the site.

From what I have heard, they mount to the intake hose with no problem.

Iv heard of a couple of guys that have mounted them and left the stock airbox in place.

Hope this is helpful for you.

2 Different Stage II setups. The PG7 filter (best filtration) and the Magnum filter.

The difference in sound between the 2 is night and day. I switched from the magnum to the PG7 out of just better filtration. It's loud, just not as loud is it could be. You can still be noticed 6 blocks away :)

I've had the AEM, S&B, Scotty III and the BHAF. The Loudest may be the AEM. But a close second and flows more air to boot is the AFE Stage two with the Proguard 2. I had to reinstall the silencer ring because it was to loud.

i just don t know why you would be able to hear the whistle more just by changing the air filters ? can someone explain ? i don t want to go blow $$$ to find out its not any louder than what i have already ,

Acording to the DP rag who tested 7 different setups on a dyno the AFE was by far the loudest. All the garbage that is in a stock system is there to keep it quiet. The test also showed that the the aftermarket systems did not increase hp or trq on a stock truck though. To get increased numbers you have to add more mods. The AFE no doubt flows better than the stock system but if your not adding more fuel and boost your not icreasing performance.

I just bought a TorqueTube from someone dont remember who, but I dunno if thats gonna do anythang for me?

Anyone have an idea what that could do or not do?

Lots of Whistle

I just had a new windsheild installed and the tech didn't get sealant on a three inch section close to my AFE stage 2.

I have more turbo whistle than my radio has volume to overcome. So it looks like you could remove some sealant in that area if you wanted REAL LOUD WHISTLE!
