Hey Ted, are you still using the coomonrail injectors and the elec. rail control of did you just run lines to the p-pump and run 98. 5-02 injectors and get rid out the rail.

im still working on the final price i will have asap. its not all that hard, getting everything figured out was the hard part. the dash tach will still work.

its as driveable as any p-pump truck. it depends on how you have it set up.

there is a lot of info on this in the 4500 rpm thread. or ask ill answer all that i can, with out giving too much away.

ted

im curious as to what your toque curve looks like. do you hae any dyno print outs? thanks

Grant

EDIT,

also some factory truck specs if you could.

thanks

Grant

group buy maybe??? common rail injectors will not work in this setup. no dyno printouts. my torque curve is dif. than most b/c it is set up for pulling. and finding a dyno that will load a truck setup like mine is hard. ill post a link to some pics. and the other videos

I love it, that truck is wild! You never answered the most important question: how streetable is it? Do you drive it everyday?

Anyway its incredible.

so you lost duration, adjustable timing, mulitiple shots of fuel, and pressure to gain rpm for sled pulling.

Perhaps that's what it takes to make the power? Why does everyone love the 12v?

its as streetable as you want it to be. depends on how you set it up. i run a big charger so its real laggy but when i was road testing with a small charger it ran great. i like it way better than it was with the cr setup. noooo speed limiter here. it was a lot of work but like ive said no regrets.

truck is down rigt now turbo exploded ill show you what that looks like.

Blown turbo

Unfortunately yes. In fact some of the compressor wheel made it into the exhaust manifold. and the exhaust wheel ate the downpipe (those were the sparks under the truck)

That is just sick, insane piece Sir. Doing a quick calculation, from the sound, I bet that bad boy is at least 1000+ ft-lbs of torque and around 4000 rpm, which is around 760 hp :--) Insane setup, that turbo wind is music to our ears, keep up the great work!!

Incredible to say the least! But now if we just slapped a set of monster twins on it, that might just be the ultamate combo!

I was a little leary at first while keeping up on the "4500 RPM" thread but after finally seeing it in action, the P-pump/CR combo is unreal!!! TWIN TURBO IT!!!

i guess so. seems i lost a lot of stuff that was holding me back. if it could've been done with the cr set up i would have. . duration is nice, seems to make a lot of heat and there isn't enough duration out there to get the fuel i am, unless an injector solenoid sticks on ya. adj. timing would be nice there are p pumps that run variable timing though. i think i like the one big shot of fuel. on the 600 cr engines the last shot is only for the epa. which is the only reason they went away from the p-pump in the first place. don't get me wrong there are a lot of guys making good power with the cr set up i have some customers that are running very good with it, but not what i wanted

twin turbos were going to go on for the winter but the big charger died as you saw, so we'll wait til spring. also around here you don't want to run twins to pull b/c if they are big enough to do any good you run against haisley schied and others. my truck runs good but my pockets aren't that deep.

There not that deep anymore you should say :-laf

No seriously, I was at that pull and after your pull my brother (who owns a CR) was sitting beside me said "I don't no what he did to that truck but thats what my trucks gonna run like in 3 years" All I said is start buying lotto tickets cause I knew there was a lot more involved in that truck than just a Box stack and a turbo! Very impressive setup!!
