i want to bend my gearshift

i wish it was closer to me.



i did this years ago on a '68 international loadstar that i drove for 4 years. i really loved having it right by my knee.



so my question is, has anyone done this? i did a search but didnt find anything.



i am thinking i will have to unbolt the lever, put it on the bench and heat it with the torch to bend it over.



i know about the short throw kits, but i am not interested in that. the gearshift travel front to back is fine. i just want to move it to the left.



any thoughts or ideas welcome.

now, I have the 99, manual, w/60/40 & the big console..... is that how this is set up? or is that 2 captain's chairs & no middle seat. I could use the extra floor storage like that has, but I need that middle seat as well. thanks for reply boonsur. .

I love my whiplash! You can rotate it to whatever orientation you want then tighten the bolt. Had mine for 6 months now and no problems with it coming loose.

Bought mine from Jesse last October. Love it! Well worth the cost. As a side note though, when I was at his shop last week he said he is now painting them as the original unpainted ones tend to rust. I believe he said they are now silver and black. He also needs your old one in return.
