I am wanting to change my 2500 over to a 3500 dually and put a flatbed on it. I know I have to have wheel spacers on the front axle but do I have to have them on the back axle? The axle on my truck is a Dana 80. If I have to have them on the back axle will that be a weak place on the axle?

Thanks

You will have to put spacers on the rear to run the dual rear wheels, the wheels won't clear the brakes without them. You could run an aftermarket spacer, but a dually rear axle would probably be the strongest-Nicholas

The weight rateing on the door post is the official rating for your truck regardless of what you do to make it stronger.

Joe G. & Gaylord It looks to me that if I use the rear wheel spacers that it will make it weaker not stronger. It looks to me by using the spacers that i am putting all the weight on the wheel studs and loosing the support of the center hub.

Thanks
