Here I am

I want to run an intake temp gauge. Any recommendations?

What size exhaust?

Horton fan clutch installed

I have decided to move my FP guage out of the pillar and either down to the shifter or just leave it underhood and only monitor part time.

Anyway, in my search for the "next step" I've decided that I want to install an air intake temp gauge so I can observe it and the effects of various mods on intake temp.

I'd sort of like to go to a dual-temp guage, where the other temp was oil or water.

Now, I've only seen dual gauges from SPA and Westach. I personally hate the Westachs as the readings aren't that intuitive. (We in the AF have glass cockpits#ad
) The SPAs are great (and ACCURATE), but lots of $$.

Anyone running an intake temp gauge? What are you using?

The Juice with attitude montitor does intake temp

I personally hate my analog gauges.

I already had a boost gauge go bad. The mechanical fuel pressure gauge is a pain. The pyrometer works good though. I hate the way my pillar mount attaches. I don't know how you could attach it with those little screws. I had to just drill a hole mount it with a bolt. It has a tendency to squeak sometimes.

I cannot wait to get of them and get the digital monitor, which had a ton of functions.

I wanted to get a Smarty but you can get the Juice with Attitude for the same price and has so many more functions. And the gauges are worth it alone IMO.

Juice does:

EGT, Boost, Fuel pressure, fuel temperature, intake air temp, oil pressure, load percentage, transmission temp, throttle %, ecm voltage and true speed.

Not to mention the great safety features of EGT backdown, plus low fuel pressure or high EGT alarms. Plus cold engine protection.

And lets not forget that it does the performance times and the sweet turbo timer.

So, if you want more fuel, this might be the way to go HOHN.

No the Juice / Attitude is an entirely different module, I have had mine for about two weeks and it is one of the best most useable purchases I have made

i belive that the autometer intake temp guages are electric and it would be dirt simple to get another probe and hook it to a switch and then just switch back and forth between the 2. ive heard this has been done for transmission temp and so maybe one of them will speak up.

I'm not interested in the Juice/Attitude at all.

I want gauges. Dual would be nice, but not necessary.

Maybe I'll just bite the bullet and put a dual SPA in that slot.

This is an interesting post. This would take a special guage, sorta like a thermometer to measure air temp. It would need to read below zero?? Also need to respond quickly with very small increments?? Is there such an animal? If so I want one! :)

The SPA's will do this. I have a transmission temp gague and I had the sensor just hanging under the truck for a couple of months, it matched my overhead display to the degree.

Autometer has in IAT gauge in their ultralite series. PN is 4372 for single channel, 4373 for dual channel. 30-400* F scale, full sweep.

I have the Auto Meter Ultra series Intake Air Charge gauge in my truck, but looking Thur Jeggs and Summit catalogs I do not See them listed anymore. I suppose they discontinued making them.

Yes, but the Phantom and the other series all have the same crappy Halo lighting.

You can't get these gauges in NV or Cobalt or any of their newer series with LED lighting.
