On that one it said: Sorry but 296460 Kbps is too high. Our test cap is currently set at 17000 Kbps when I tried it... .

Now keep in mine that the bottle neck is somewhere between you and the test location. On the test URL Tim gave I only get around 2. 5meg, on the PCpitstop I get around 5 meg. Now I have 2 OC3 connections (2 different providers) to the internet for a total of 96Mb of bandwight, and the proxy server I go out on is only used by 2 or 3 of us admin people so its not slowing me down.

Man now Im mad. Im not even going to post how mine came out. Im not on dial up but Im not doing much better. I spent $350. 00 to have this antenna pointed directly at the tower on the mountain in front of my house. Wanted to be connected 24/7 but I thought it would also be faster than it is.

What the cable companies don't tell you is, that nice fat pipe into your service area is cut into smaller and smaller slices as more people sign up. So your speed goes down. Thats why I went with DSL, the rate isn't as fast, but it won't go down because of more subscribers.
