I'm looking to do my trans. soon. What converter are you running?? My truck is an '01 that weighs about 8,000lbs running empty; I tow about 10,000 when I tow. Power upgrades should put me about 425HP or so. What do you folks recommend??

Thanks!

i have got a dtt transmission with billet input shaft and master clutch rebuild and dtt valve body i love the transmission now it ended up costing me just about five thousand dollars out the door and that was without the the torque converter which would have been another 1700 dollars and mine was fine so i didnt go with a new one they way i look at it the rebuild itself was 3700. 00 dollars so if i can go two years without the tcc giving problems ive made money not that i wouldnt have liked to go with the dtt torque converter just couldnt afford it . poor farm boy and the rebuild came as a deffinite surprise do to the fact i let a dealer work on the stock transmission. anyway ive got 5,000 miles on my new dtt and i just love it it shifts great i run about 350 hp and i tow between 33,000 and 37,000 pounds you can now stand on the throttle rite off the line and that ol turbo sings and away you go even with 37,000 gvw it just shifts like a car smooth and perfect. :D

:) Love my Dtt trans. 110,000 miles on it now with absolutly no problems. Shifts like it did the day Bill installed it. Would I do it again? Absolutly if I ever wear this trk out and get another it will be the first mod before anything else.

I hope your stock t/c lasts 2 years under 350hp! The dtt t/c is what makes the big difference TO ME. I have 75k on mine and every trip is a joy (over stock).

A friend of mine here in Paradise CA went to J&H In Redding. He let me drive his truck after a few days... I couldn't believe it! It was outstanding!

He had originally put an Edge box in it and a few other goodies but, he admitted that after the transmission was DTT'd he felt the minor Bombs he had done earlier was an error. Now that he can lay down the power of just the stock CTD he knew he had spent the initial money incorrectly. The DTT was the thing he should have done to start with.

I'm waiting for the day to do mine and when I see you guys making fine reports such as these I just wish my transmission would act up sooner so I could DTT my transmission!
