Yup, just did it :D :D When they get here, oh boy, rock and roll :) I pop tested the injectors in my 1-ton dump, found that they were not worth a turd, now all of the sudden, the pick-up is going to get the juice.

My timing is slightly advanced already, I still need to dial it to make sure what it is.

Questions: For those with the 12cm^2, where do you run the AFC? Tight ? Medium? I will soon upgrade to the 16, so that won't be a problem for long. Also, what happens with the idle? I can't wait to run with the bigger dogs he he he :D

Ahhhhh, another parishoner for the flock... . there is of course some "dues" to be paid, and then there is the "ceremony" to deal with.....

We'll all have to get back to you on that, but for now ... ... ...

WELCOME TO THE DARK SIDE ;) :D:D:D:D... . or is that the dim side... whatever... :D

Now be careful. Don't let Pastor Bob talk you into anything that involves goats, shaving cream and pork chops... ..... :p

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! On the other hand, did I miss my first membership charge, because I didn't hear any good specs on timing and afc. Thank you for the idea on idle though, that will work out well anyway due to the idle speed being too high from pump adjustments with the ittsy bittsy injectors :D

Thanks again, and can't wait for the dip in mosquito population to begin

While you have the injectors out....

Check the accuracy of your timing pin. There are several posts on the subject. I put a 1/4" phillips screwdriver in the injector hole till it hit the piston; backed off the engine 20 deg or so (from "TDC" by pin); took up gear slack; marked the screwdriver and H-balancer, then turned it in direction of rotation, letting the screwdriver come up and then go back down to the mark. Mark the H-balancer in relation to the same place as first (i. e. - vs belt). Split the two marks, and that is true TDC. I'd go with 1. 5-1. 6mm; the PODs pop at a higher pressure, effictively retarding timing; plus you need 1. 45 or so just for good performance. Add . 05-. 1 for altitude. THat is just what I've read here. My pickup runs well enough, I'm not going to pay $150+ just to find out where it is timed. I'll join the "church" when I get the money for a new head. Mine has a few small cracks b/t injector bore/ valve seat, and doesnt need the added pressure of PODs. And my tires are bald enough as it is; dont need to accelerate that process either.
