I wrote dodge about the g56, nv5600... what will they say

Just recieved info from my dealer about the truck I test drove that had the leaking input shaft seal. STAR told them it would be another week before they had the fix for the transmission and at that time they would start fixing and releasing trucks currently being withheld. When asked about the reason for the holding of the trucks they explained that it was because of improper machine work on the lube pump causing the seal to breakout and leak, and when questioned about possible probs. with the DMF they replied "what's a dual mass flywheel?"

Tim, chill out a little, i've been in your situation and understand your grief, BUT, complaing to your buds on TDR to the point that it becomes annoying doesn't help you any and only makes less buds for you here when you really need our help, capieche?

Look Tim ... just go rent a RV for the vacation and leave your trailer at home. And probably when you get back your new truck will be in. Or at worse, you can get your $$$ back and go order something else. There are always ways around things. If you want to take the vacation there are options ... counting on one option only is rediculous (sp).

It's not an RV, if it was that simple, I'd be going. My trailer holds my trail truck, and this is an offroading trip. It is not street legal and cannot leave the yard without a trailer. My trip has been cancelled thanks to Chrysler. If there was a way around it, I would be doing it. I asked all my friends but on two weeks notice it just can't happen. It's not the end of the world, it just sucks.

I work 3-1130, and I drive 2 hours to work and 2 hours home, so I don't get home until 1:30. It's 2 am now and I'm going to bed. So the answer to your question is yes, I am up at this hour, because I work a weird schedule.

I hear that is was a rear bearing failure and we won't see any more orders for manual trannys till mid 06 model year. I guess we will all just have to wait and see as it sure seems that DC like keeping us all in the dark. my 0. 2 cents

I keep reading about paint quality. The four years I was at a D. C. dealer(had 30 odd techs)and a LARGE paint and body shop that did a robust business. (they always turned out pretty paint work with a lifetime warranty) The NUMBER one make they did WARRANTY paint work on was G. M. sent to them by the nearby G. M. dealers and Ford was next. Very little D. C. products. I retired 3 years ago or so. I've seen the blue trucks were poor paint but thats about it.

I ordered this truck for one reason--I wanted to make sure NOTHING had the possibility of ruining my trip. I didn't have a plan B. I should have I suppose but I never thought it wouldn't make it. My truck was built the first week of February.



I'm not whining at all. There will be more 4x4 trips this year. This is just one that I really wanted to go on and it pisses me off that I can't go. If I needed to go that bad, Tom has a silver truck I could have bought, it's similar to the one I ordered and can be delievered immediately. I am planning on owning my truck for a long time (10 years or longer) and I don't want to look at a silver truck for 10 years and say, "Jeeze Tim, you just had to go on that four day Tellico trip that got you stuck with this ugly thing". If he had anything that was a dark color I'd be all over it... . but anyway... there will be more trips to Tellico and I'll go on one another day.



I think you're wrong in that I don't love the sport. I spent every free minute I have working on my truck and my last girlfriend of two years left because she said I loved my truck more than her. She was wrong, but I'm sure you realize for someone to think that there has to be some degree of dedication.



Without a doubt Chrysler is responsible for my trip being cancelled. As I said, I don't have a plan b. This wasn't a trip I was taking with local guys where I could just ask them. This was a trip with guys from all over the east side of the country. All the local guys that were going bailed for various reasons, so that leaves go by myself without my trail rig or don't go at all, and frankly, I don't want to go at all if my trail rig can't go with me.



This is not me whining or complaining, just venting my frustration. Life goes on, and it's not just about pickup trucks or fourwheeling vacations. It's just irritating when you bust your *** at work like I do and you look forward to a few days off to go on a trip and then you never get to go.

Tim, have you considered renting a box truck and loading your trail rig inside? Or a flat bed and loading it on the back? Or a truck and trailer? All of these are options that aren't all that expensive. I've seen all of these done before - to load it in the back of a box truck you'll probably have to change the wheels and tires to skinny's and change em back when you get there but it can be done. I've done some crazy stuff to get to do things I really wanted to before.

Where are you located anyway? Ever make it to Paragon or Rausch Creek? I go to RC all the time.

The box truck thing is a really bad idea, and probably illegal depending on where you live. Also, don't let the rental place find out.



The main problem is there are no secure tie downs. It would basically be the same as not tying it down on a rollback, very unsafe.

This thread and every other thread on TDR dealing with the G56 has become "Tim's relentless whining saga". Tim has shown no signs of maturity and ending his whining on his own. Many TDR members have posted concerns about Tim and his posts. Will you please PM Tim and convince him to change his ways?

I am sorry but I have read almost every single one of Tim's messages and quite frankly I don't why some folks are being so harsh on him. He is in a bind and he's just venting. I thought that was (in part) the point of having a community such as ours (the TDR).



We are all buddies (more or less) and this is a good place to say "Hey, I am frustrated and here's why". I look at it this way; from time to time one of my buddies will come to me and complain about something that's irritating them. Sometimes I think he has a legit complaint sometimes they don't. I certainly don't look at them and go "dude, you are just a whining, crybaby". I probably don't do that for 2 reasons; 1) Its my friend and as such I try to be sympathetic even when I think they are a little off and 2) when you do that to somebody in person (unlike this message board) you run the risk of getting punched in the kisser. :-laf



I can understand if Tommy might be a little bent at some of the things Tim said, but my guess is that Tommy has probably heard his fair share of complaints over the years (like every other dealer) and he's pretty good at letting it roll of his back. I have no doubt that if Tommy could deliver the truck today, he would. At this point that specific truck is out of his hands.



I think its great that some folks have offered Tim some suggestions on how to fix his problem. Once again this is one of the purposes of our "community". Sometimes our friends accept our advice, sometimes they don't. That still doesn't mean that I am going to drop the hammer on them and call whiners.



Let's try a little civility here and remember that nobody makes anybody read Tim's messages. If he irritates you that much, just move on past his thread, no sense in turning it into personal attacks.



Tim's bent because he got all excited about a truck that hasn't been delivered and because of that, something else he is excited about will have to be canceled. Let him vent and if you think he's being unreasonable, just turn the other cheek.



Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I offered to sell TIM my 6 speed last week, and you should have seen the blistering response I got. . Holy cow, it was like I really offended him by just offering to buy my 05. Instead of a simple 'no thank you', I was informed how much he despised RED, and wouldn't buy a truck from idiot that put a box on it... . Hmmm, girlfriend left too?



Anyway, back to reality. . I good friend of my son's just called tonight to tell us that his mother was struck at a crosswalk by a semi truck yesterday and probably won't make it. Later in the day I find out that a girl that I used to date has a very sick little 7 year old girl, and probably won't live much more than a week.



So while a delayed vacation is the pits, in the bigger picture its really not that big a deal. Life goes on, vacations get canceled or delayed, but life can end tomorrow, sometimes rather suddenly. (for those that are parents, go tell your kids tonight that you love them now)



Tim, chill out, enjoy life more and take DC's truck delay with a little more patience. Otherwise you are going to stress yourself out and lose another girl friend in the future. . Sorry for the hijacking of this thread, but sometimes we lose sight of really what's important...

Never heard of Rausch Creek. I've heard of Paragon. I'd like to make a trip out there this year. When I get my new tow rig if you're planning a run, let me know the skinny ahead of time and I'll be there.



What you guys fail to realize is that the only time I'm ever happy is when I'm behind the wheel of my trail rig and rolling down the trail. I can't recall much of any events in my life that really make me happy like driving my truck does... and it only happens a few times a year. I spend 5-6 times as much time working on it as I do playing with it on the trail, but such is the life of a hardcore 4x4.



Either way, my truck will get here. It's hard to have patience, I have little to begin with and I've tried to muster all of it that I can handle but I'm just frustrated.



Everyone quit your whining, about my whining. I'll get over it. It's just really crappy.



All the nice suggestions on what to do to get my trail rig there are appreciated but it doesn't matter. This trip is cancelled... and I'm thinking about the next one right now. If my truck doesn't come in a reasonable amount of time I guess I just have to order a new Chevy or something. Life goes on..... it's not just about pickup trucks and quite frankly, I try not to think about this whole thing until I log on here and I see one of two things:



1. One more person whining because I'm ****** off, or.....



2. Rumors that my Dodge may come soon, or may not come for a long time, with little/no facts.



Both of those things get me riled up, but other than that, it's all good... my truck will get here when it gets here.
