I can't recall much of any events in my life that really make me happy like driving my truck does... and it only happens a few times a year. I spend 5-6 times as much time working on it as I do playing with it on the trail, but such is the life of a hardcore 4x4.

Hardcore??? LOL, I used to offroad 4 or 5 nights a week!! Most definately on Friday and Saturday nights ... ... ... ... . big lights, hot women, winches, hot women, loud pipes, hot women, mud flyin, hot women, lots of beer, did I mention hot women???

Trucks and offroading in the 80's were like muscle cars and drag racing in the 60's around here!!!

I can tell you have no clue what kind of trails I'm talking about. If all you can remember is hot women and beer, and mud flying, you certainly weren't on any trail I hope to be on any time soon. It's people with your attitude (drinking and four wheeling) that ruin the sport for everyone. Alcohol and any type of driving do not mix, expecially not off road driving.

I don't think you exactly grasp the concept of what places like Tellico and Paragon are like. No vehicle would take that kind of punishment 4-5 days a week.

Yeah, we all know that your girlfriend left you. . But I think Hardwick's style of 4 wheeling sounds a lot more fun to me. . (hot woman, beer and mud flying sounds like a night at the Tropicana in Hollywood... )

Anyone got some spare Valium for TIM tonight :-laf

Where do you think the offroad concept came from? I quit offroading and started racing sprint cars 10 years ago, and offroading has gone quite far since then, but where do you think it started??? I can tell you, it started with us rednecks putting bigger and bigger tires on trucks, trying more and more stupid ****. We were the pioneers in the 80's. Bigger tires, more suspension travel, bigger motors.

I make driveline parts for the Samson monster truck, make parts for a guy with a 4 cylinder (for weight) Jeep, planetary driven as a rock climber (been on TV) and make parts for another guy who builds Trackers with laid down shocks similar to an F1 or Indy car to gain wheel travel ... ... ..... I don't do it anymore, but I know what it's all about and it all started with playing in the mud, LMAO.

SOOOO anyways, i picked up my G56 two weeks ago, and, well, i love it! it shifts like Butta. no problems so far. i think. is it normal for it to clunk when i let off the gas while driving? if it is it is totally cool, i'm just used to a tacoma and learning all the new big truck Diselish sounds.

Hey TIM, i hope you get your truck. i love mine and would get the G56 again in a heartbeat. i try not to worship earthly possesions, but Dodge makes it very hard for the feeble minded such as myself. oh yeah, if anyone knows about the clunk i would appreciate any insight.

That's all fine and dandy, but mixing alcohol with operating any piece of moving machinery should not be associated with any activity in which I'm involved in. I despise the idea and I'd prefer you not suggest that I'm involved in similar activities.

them was some good times dude, leave the bar at closing with a truck load of chicks and go play in the mud ... ... ... . some loved it, some never came back

there were times when we had 15 or 20 trucks, some watching, some making a statement, but all got to mash the throttle a bit :D

we did start growing up eventually, lol, I've got a video of 35 trucks headed down the road on a Sunday morning to do some off roading, some of us even had our kids and the hot women had become mothers, lol, just another time in a different era ... ... ... ... .

Concur, I am of the same generation and same experiences in Western PA.

I think what you described Hardwick is as much (if not more) four wheeling as the "buggies" that try and crawl up over boulders and ledges.

I guess in Tim's mind (which has proven to be very narrow minded) if you are not exactly like him or support his ways then we are all morons.

Beer and hot women..... ah the good ole days.

If you think about it, BigFoot made his debut in a movie called "Take This Job and Shove It", about a bunch of beer drinking factory workers, hot women and flyin mud :-laf :-laf

Have just over 1K on mine and I don't have a "clunk" when I let of the "diesel. " Shifts better then my NV4500 did and the clutch feels a lot smoother. If Chrysler ever decides to let us know why they put a hold on the G-56 trucks, maybe we will learn more about potential problems. As of today I'm totally satisfied with this truck... ;)

OUCH, that's gotta hurt TIM... All he has to enjoy right now is the super glossy brochure that he got from the dealership... . :D :D

I bought a travel trailer in Nevada (Los Wages) and before I registered it in California, I waited 90 days. By doing this I did not have to pay sales tax again in California. The dealer that I bought the rig told me how to do this. I went to a storage yard in Las Vegas and rented a storage space for three months on my credit card, then when I returned back to the house I was staying at, I called the rental yard and cancelled my rental space and they credited my card back. All I can say is that it worked for me. When I went to the DMV (CA) I showed them my sales receipt and the person behind the counter new that I did not have to pay the sales tax with my registration. I'm saying that this what I did and it worked.

You have the right to remain silent any thing you say... ...

Sure seems to me that I've seen plenty of U-hauls towing rigs.

Reminds me of a very, very, very, old Swiss mountain adage, Aboriginal American proverb, an ancient Chinese saw, a Bryzantine byword, or perhaps it was just a Jerry Falwell word-of-wisdom:

Where there's a will there's a way! :D

With the emphasis on will. :-laf
You've seen plenty uhauls hauling vehicles inside??? Remind me to stay off the roads in your neighborhood. :-laf

Sorry, I have to back Tim up here. You are a total tool if you bring alcohol out on the trail. And for your info, any idiot can jump into a truck and go "muddin". All the rookies start there.
