My mileage recently dropped from 20 to 16 mpg. I remembered to check the sensor and it was a mess! There was so much sludge I could hardly see the sensor in the cage. I pulled the boost boot off the intake horn and the inside was completely dry. It hasn't been 25,000 miles since I last cleaned it. What else could dump so much sludge in so short a time?

Thanks,

Dave

E-brake makes sense. I like the idea of moving it to the horn. But, would it work properly? It would be pre grid heaters, which I have to use here. Also, how much difference would there be due to the actual engine heat? I know the air is moving fast, but how sensitive are these sensors? Would a different heat/voltage range take care of it? I do like the idea, let's figure out how to make it work!

Thanks,

Dave
