Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Iat Sensor

Has anyone else looked at there IAT sensor readings with higher boost??? I see when boost comes up the temp comes up on the IAT sensor too. The temp outside here is 30 but now the question, is that the reason to install the IAT in the air box so you keep the fueling at it’s best??? Doesn’t when the IAT sensor warms up it defuels???
