after reading in other forums of Input Air Temperatures (IAT) affecting performace and EGT's I thought I'd experiment and publish some observations.
after two days of 100+ desert temps the probe at the OEM air horn is 3 to 18 degress above ambient due to engine and sunshine heating up the fender. at morning startup just after starting the truck I saw the 3* diff. and 18 was just now after driving 3 mi's in 97* heat for lunch.
city cruising on the freeway has been 6 - 8 degress above ambient.
stay tuned: this evening the probe goes to where all are mounting the BHAF's.
