Spring classes for women

Look out for trains

I watched it last night. Those guys are nuts. Did ya'll see how much it cost that one company to have the truck removed from the ice? $60,000.

THANKS, KAT!!! I stayed up late to catch that... wow, it looks like fun AND scarry as hell all at the same time!! ... and drivers from all over go up there to drive in -60' for the challenge? The narrator did say they earned double a normal truckers' pay.

What the heck!?!?!? I thought this was a brand new show, and here I find a discussion about it back in the archives from 2001?

Or did the people in this tread time-travel to 2007, watch the show, then return to 2001?

Anyway, has anyone else been watching this show? I actually find it kind of boring, although there's no shortage of attempts on the part of the directors to make believe there's high drama.

But what I've noticed is the number of Dodge/Cummins 3rd-gen trucks that are shown in the background. There are Fords and Chevys too, but it seems like the Dodge is the most common.

Perhaps the Cummins starts better in cold weather? Or are Dodges simply more popular in Canada?

Ryan, you should look and see if you can find the original episode, it went through the history of the ice road, who, how and why they made it and it was pretty interesting. Also just the other night there was a show on the science channel that showed in detail how the make the ice road each year and that was good too.

I watch the show, it's better that most of the junk on regular TV. I have been noticing all of the superintendents have Dodges, Rank has it's priviledges?:-laf I was surprised that this hadn't come up sooner though, I thought more guys around here would be watching it.

You guys watching this season? They're driving the Dalton Highway in Alaska.

I can't help but think, why not run a 2-track railroad instead of the highway? More efficient, and able to haul massive "oversize" loads. Plus if there's a problem with the pipeline they can haul large quantites of oil in tanker cars.
