I was heading to school today, things were goin great, then i hit black ice in a turn heading up a mountain i had to cross. The truck slid down the road sideways for about 100 yards then came on around making the turn a full 180. after i went around the truck skidded into a guardrail destroying the rear bumper and mashing in the lower bedside behind the passenger rear wheel. nothing was damaged other than that luckily. I am not happy right now, I have severe dents where the truck rode the guardrail, and the bumper is torn literally it took it open like a pop can. i will post pics as soon as i can get a camera. luckily enough the body damage on the bed was just that body, no holes ripped in it, and no damage to any other parts of the body or drivetrain. I am lucky i guess but it really has a way of ruining a good day. I don't know if i am gonna be able to get this fixed without body filler which i absolutely hate, but i guess the body shop knows what will hold and stay there. I guess i am gonna go take a nap,

Kevin

Well on the flip side.....

Alot of body shops can replace an intire bedside. That side will be Perfect!

Or... . You could find a whole box... .

Install it yourself..... Check out a truck trader, or equipment trader. There are companies that pull the boxes brand new and put on utility boxes. I've heard you can get them for CHEAP!

that is true, the body guy at the shop i have my work done at is very good. I think i am gonna buy an aftermarket bumper like a buckstop or a ranch hand, i am leaning more towards the ranch hand bumper, does annyone have any experience with the ranch hand bumpers or the buckstops for that matter

so thats why i got a phone call @ 7am this morning... ..... sorry to hear about your accident kevin..... i was glad to hear you were alright... ...
