IceBox Intake

Anyone running one of these and how do you think it is performing for you??

What is it? Do you have a web site for it? From your post all is question is it an airfilter in an Ice box?

It's an air intake with filter. I have seen pics on sites. I want to know if anyone here has it and if they have seen lower EGT's.

I have one on my truck. Yes it does lower EGT's a little. Yes it does flow more air. Yes it does allow more turbo noise.

What Mike said has been my experience! It's a real nice unit with a Amsoil air filter.

I have one also, lowered EGT's, little more turbo noise, better air flow, Amsoil eA filter. I also have a cool blue hose and an outerwears pre-filter. Nice air intake.

I also have this intake. Mine has the Amsoil nanofiber on it but you can get them with the S&B fitlers now as well. IMO they look sharper and they are made of steel and you can order with different colored tops too. I also have the cool hose and did have a decrease in EGT's and I can easily hear my turbo sing.

I put one one in the summer of '07. Pretty nice unit--definitely better than trying to run the Amsoil Ea filter on a BHAF style shield I fabbed up originally. I rubbed a hole in the filter on the first test run and had to plug it with silicone.



I think the IceBox for 2nd Gens blocks the hot engine compartment air fairly well, although there are still some gaps. Other models look like they may let more hot engine compartment air into the filter.
