Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Icebox manufacturing

Has anyone seen their cold air intake? Anyone here have one? Looks like it uses an Amsoil cone filter with that nanofiber stuff. I thought it looked like a real nice set up.

I saw that in the new issue of the TDR too. The only thing I don't like about it is I can't utilise the 4" hole I cut in the cowl 9 years ago. This is the best place to get cool air.

I have one, I was running a BHAF with the heat shield before this, the egts are lower with this intake and no change in noise or performance... . It's also the only intake system I have seen that has a heat shield between the intake and turbo... .

I also have just recently got one installed on my 2001. 5 really decent set up,I am quite pleased with setup.

Got mine installed last weekend. I ordered the box alone, no filter. The washers they included did not fit over the OE studs. No bigdeal. Fit & finish: GOOD. They include an allen wrench w/ the box. I found I needed to cut 1½-2" off the airbox flange that the hose attaches to. It just would not work. After I did that, it fit fine.



I have not noticed an EGT reduction anywhere. I had a Mega-Cannon type setup w/ the 4" cowl hole blowing on the filter. I asked Icebox about plumbing the 4" hole into the box he said they tried it, but saw no benefit. I may plumb it in later on.



The plastic Rams head logo you see in their pictures did not come w/ mine. Maybe if you buy the filter & box combo.

I have the box on my truck. The fit and finish on this box are great. Only took me about ten minutes to install. The nice thing about this box is that it is solid steel and all made by hand. There is no plastic on this box and no mass production. If anyone has any questions about this box feel free to give me a call at 719-290-8229
