Were Did The Tugboat Post Go?

Esurance?

I'm planning on taking a trip to McCall Idaho the end of July and into August. I like the smaller alpine lakes, I float tube and fly fish. I'm pulling my 5er I prefer rustic type camp grounds over full hook up types with rigs stacked on top of each other, water near by to fill the tank would be nice. Anybody have any info or suggestions?

Thanks

Turn off at Cascade. There are several lakes, rivers, and reservoirs around there to keep you happy. There are also lakes that you have to hike into a couple of miles if you like to do that.

If you want to go way back into the boonies, look at going to Yellow Pine. If I remember correctly, Yellow Pine has it's harmonica festival weekend the first weekend of August. Lots of people and good luck getting a campsite unless you go in early in the week, so that may not be a good option.

Some of the campgrounds in the McCall area also run on a reservation system since they are either state or Forest Service campgrounds. I would look to see if anything is available very soon. They may already be booked.
