2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission idenfy this

Hello

I am fairly new to the TDR forum not to sure how to search for this question. I just bought my 97 3500 and while i was looking around under the hood i noticed two wires just under the left (drivers side) battery. There are four electrical posts mounted to the fender each has a wire connected. there is also four smaller wires connected to different posts. I have a feeling this is a relay or some type of regulator??? Im not to electrical savy.



I spent the afternoon searching the service manual and net but no luck on idenifying these two wires the connections are broken off, they are zipped tied together and look like factory equipment (not an add-on component from previous owner)



I was first thinking that they belong on the positive post of the battery because there is just enough room to reach and nothing in the reach of the wires looks obvious to me.



one lead off of the positve battery post goes into the fuse box

(is this the power dist. center??) the through the 120A fuse and down to one of the posts on this thing mounted on the fender



Sorry this is such a lame description of my problem but any input would be appreciated. Check my other posts

They do go to the positve post of the battery it was the intake manifold air heater relay #1 & 2

Sort of wonder if the previous owner may have disconnected the grids because something was wrong with them.
