Idiot Lights, ABS and brake

I finally got my truck on the road and am having problems with the idiot lights. I picked the truck up from a shop and drove about 30 miles no problems, drove around town for 2--3 days no problem until today. When I start the truck all the lights go out then as I start driving the parking brake light and the ABS light come on. If I turn the truck off they go out and stay off when restarted till I drive about 1/2 mile than they come back on. It was raining hard today do you think that could cause this? Also I had the truck re sprung since the previous owner had a wreck and put aftermarket wrong size springs on one side. Could low brake fluid cause this? Also I hooked up a brake controller today and thought that caused it, so I disconnected it but the lights still come on after about 1/2 mile. Any help is appreciated.

Check, clean and grease all the brake circuit connections you can find. The connection on the valve after the master cylinder is the most likely culprit. The sender in the rear diff (or either front if 4 WABS) will do the ABS light but I don't know about the BRAKE light.

I had the EXACT same problem. Check your climate controls. If they work, I'd check the ABS fuses, connectors and the connector on top of the rear pumpkin. If they don't work (mine didn't) it's a vacuum problem. Last time I fooled with the pump I pulled the vacuum supply line loose (1/8" dia line that tees off of the main line from the vac pump). I shoved it back in, apparently too far because pulling a vacuum on the line cause it to block itself off. I pulled it out about ( ) that much and the idiot lights wised up.....

Haven't had a problem since. If that little plastic vacuum line is plugged or off, it'll activate them idiot lights...
