IDIOT SIGHTING: (From the internet)

When my husband and I arrived at an automobile dealership to pick up our car, we were told the keys had been locked in it. We went to the service department and found a mechanic working feverishly to unlock the driver's side door. As I watched from the passenger side, I instinctively tried the door handle and discovered that it was unlocked. 'Hey,' I announced to the technician, 'it's open!' His reply, 'I know. I already got that side.

'This was at the Ford dealership in Canton , Mississippi

A like story happen to a guy I know two weeks ago, at his house. He had just purchased the vehicle. the keys were inside on the dash. The windows were down about 6" and when his son arrived they were going see if his daughter would fit through the opening. Then someone tried the door, Walaaa IT was unlocked. This was true and not a blonde joke.

my best true one comes from one of our customers, bar fly looking blond with a turd bmw calls up frantic that she can't get into the car and has been trying for sometime, i assume the obvious that the driver door lock has failed or key is worn out and suggest trying another hole on the car or another key and get "the key" and silence for a few seconds, turns out alarm remote had died and driving other car out to get fresh batterys didn't get it going so they had no idea how to get into the car till i brought up that the thing that starts the car has a 2nd use :-laf

almost as good, my high school welding teacher bought a old bmw and thought that the transmission was fragged and wouldn't go into reverse (5 speed) spent weeks playing with the linkage and one day called me in on it as i was working at a euro car shop at the time after school, car was up on the auto shop's lift and another student was in the car when joe told the guy in the car to put it into reverse, guy asks where reverse was (car had wood knob with no markings) and joe told him right and back "uhhh that's wrong, left and forward" and there was that silence that i would learn to love, dude put it where i told him and damn'd ifn the wheels didn't go backards, turns out he had been pushing this thing out of parking spaces for close to a month since he bought it and had been bugging the hell out of the person he got it from about the non reverse transmission :-laf
