Idle Oil Pressure

What is considered a normal warm idle oil pressure for a cummins? My new '01 appears to be running at about 30 psi (according to the gage), with a little throttle it jumps up well above the forty mark. Any other vehicle I've ever owned ran 40 at idle, is this normal?

The manual for 99 says "minimum oil pressure at idle, 10#, at 2000 rpm, 30#", does not give normal oil pressure but I think 30# on warm engine at idle is probably normal. bg

Dave, 30# is what mine has done since new (that's after the engine is nice and warmed up).

Thanks guys, just a new diesel owner trying to learn all of the new tricks. Any gas engine I ever had that didn't run 40 psi at idle was about ready to die.
