All of a sudden my engine idles at 900, but only after it warms up. I installed a 3k gsk about 80,000 miles ago. There is no binding in the linkage, no broken springs, cable is smooth. I know the linkage is going to the stop because my Jacob's exhaust brake has a micro-switch mounted on the gear case cover and it works. I'm not sure I even have the original gov springs any more so taking the gsk out isn't an option, plus I think that if the springs were the problem the idle would be high all the time and also the rpm would be fluctuating. Any ideas?
