Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) idle speed

What should it be ? Mine seems to shift up and down between 1600 and 1700. This after a new VP44.

Mine idles @ 850..... you should be the same.

Check your APPS. It probably wasn't set right when reinstalled.

It may need reset... . try disconnecting the battery for 20min... . reconnect it & turn the ignition to the on position... . press pedal slowly to floor..... Then release pedal slowly & it will reset.

Take off the black cover for the APPS and make sure the throttle is returning to idle. You have to move alot of junk out of the way including several cables entering and leaving the TPS when you R&R a IP. They can hang up, and keep the throttle depressed.
