Any one out there replaced this bearing? Mine is sounding like a canary right now; quite annoying. Just wanted to know the procedure from a veteran.
Thanks

Be sure you aren't mistaking the noise from the belt for a bad bearing - it happens! Try applying the edge of a bar of soap (carefully!) to the belt on all sides to see if the noise stops - if it does, the belt is the problem, not the bearing. But yeah, those bearings DO seem the first in the accessory string to fail... Good luck.

I thought the squeeking was my idler pulley turned out to be the water pump, never leaked a drop until it finaly let go, then it chewed up 3 belts and 14 gal of water to get back into town, pull your belt off and see if you can wigle the end of the water pump any, the pump is really easy to change, it takes longer to get the belt back on ... Guys, I did all of the above; checked accesories and the rest, even the water pump. Whew, it was still tight #ad
That little tension bugger was the one that didn't spin quite right. Thanks for the help, I guess that is tommorow's repair work. #ad
