I have no problem with the Allison 1000 series transmission. I would love to have one in a Dodge, but it ain't gonna' happen. Why would GM give away one of their main sales features? The Allison has been working sucessfully hooked to an ISB Cummins for some time in motorhome chassis applications.



There have been some GM light truck programming problems. My brother in law has a '02 2500HD, 8. 1L V8 with the Allison. A great running combination, but I wouldn't want have to buy the fuel!!

As long as DC continues their lawsuit against the Hummer grille, there will not be any Allisons in Dodge Rams.



Maybe ZF can build a nice 5 or 6 speed automatic for us.
