i had many shift issues with multiple trannies and after what was thought to be a toasted trans the dtt shift enhancer box fixed them all. at 275 dollars man what a buy. this product is worth 10 times that. i am not affiliated with them and don't even have there trans i have a suncoast, but it has made a night and day difference. if you have slips or hunting going on it did fix all of my problems. the best product i have seen for the 06. call dtt and have em send you one. i talked to stephen but i am sure anyone there can help ya fix it. hope this helps you guys with transmission isues.

It isn't a valve body - it is a plug in electronics box that, IIRC from previous posts, manipulates the line pressure to compensate for limitations in the electronic throttle position sensor on the 48REs. The hunting gets more pronounced as HP goes up, but even stock trucks experience it - just not as noticable on stockers.

nps is correct

it is a computer control box with a external intall. very simple a few wires and your done. it controls the tv motor for shift points and the governer pressure for proper pressures at stock or high horsepower. again the best mod on the 06 i have done.

This sounds like what I have been looking for to cure my 1-2-1-2-1-2 shifts at light throttle in my 05. What are the differences felt between the 3 levels, firmer shift, diffn't shift points? Any feedback would be great as this seems to be a problem alot of us have. Thanks alot! Oo.

Sometimes I miss my old auto, especially in traffic. They certainly come with baggage though. Leave it to DTT to help you guys out!:)

By the date on that TSB May 07 do you think I'd be covered with 68k mi since the "FIX" just came out. And second has anyone replaced this part themselves and how difficult is it.

Looked pretty easy to replace, you have to drop the pan though. It is a small part; you could put three or four in your hand.

Does it control down shifts too? I don't have any problem with my 06 except the it won't down shift even at 1100 rpm on light throttle as on slow curves and turns. Unfortunately I found the same problem on a 68rfe yesterday.

Do they sell one for the '03? I might have to check into this one.

The shift enhanser is for the 04. 5 and up trucks with the electronic acctuator.

The enhanser does "hold" control shifs to a point, but see if you have a dealer/installer in your area to have the module installed and programmed.

Also the enhanser controls "line pressure rise"... not line pressure, that is regulated by the VB.

I called dtt direct and ordered it,its installed and helps,i think it might need to be programmed and adjusted to fit my truck,i might go up there(canada i live iin seattle)next week and have em do it

it is just a few wire splices and a line ran into the cab for the control box. very simple and yes they can vehicle specific programing for hp and ect. it made my truck have nice firm shifts and and it raises the rpm level of the shifts in each mode about 1800 in daily 2200 in tow and 2800 in race but i am going to have it redone for about 200 higher in each. i just don't want to take it off and send it in man i love this box.
