Problem you say...........???
Both of my rigs do this. TugboatPhil showed me this "Dodge Option" a few years back. I love it. I only need to keep track of one set of keys. I start the truck, pull said key, lock the doors and let her warm up. I can lock up the shop when I exit and then unlock my truck.
Also, when you make a quick stop for coffee/news print/ dog or cat flea meds etc. you can grab the keys from said ignition and allow the vehicle to remain running. Lock the doors and grab you coffee/paper/doughnuts. I hate to have to keep shutting the engine off when I'm in town at every stop I make. That gets old to have to watch the EGT gauge each time espessially with a large turbo/POD's and a modded pump. Takes about three/four min to hit 300°
Another wonderful option integrated in same vehicle is the fact that the glove box will not open by mearly a turn of the knob. One must use the key to open the box door. What a major PITA. Oh, wait,,,,,,,,I simply REMOVE THE KEY from the ignition (w/vehicle running) and I or the wife gain access to said box!! I LOVE IT. Them Dodge engineers are a real piece of work. Thinking of everything, they are.
Enjoy the ride!
