Ignore list?

What does adding a member's sig do on the ignore list? I recently added a signature because I was tired of seeing his/her nonsense, yet his/her post's still remain visible. Maybe I have to sign out and then sign back in before it takes affect, or is this ignore list not what I thought it was? TIA

The ignore list will prevent your seeing any new posts written by the individual on your list. I'm not sure it will make his older posts invisible to you. Sign off and sign on again may be required. Check your ignore list to make sure the desired name is truly recorded there. You could have missed a step.

It is on my list so must have done it correctly, ok, I understand it may not remove old post's, I'll keep watch to see if new ones appear.

I know I have the option of just not reading the post, but eventually I click on them to see what the fool is spouting off on. I prefer not to ruin my day by not exercising self control, and being reminded of how many idiot's this nation truly provides for.

It does work! The new post's are hidden because the sig is on my ignore list!
