Does any one service/ repair injector pumps?

Our local shop closed after 84 years.

They fixed them for 35% $ of the competition and they would run at least 3000 hours.

I need the maintenance parts/seals for several IH single plunger pumps 4cyl A series 246 thru 390 Cid.

Can provide IH part # w pictures

There a place in Indiana called central diesel I think give me a day and i'll see if I can get you a number may I ask what tractor your working on?

Thanks guys but still looking

JDinterman most anything descended from the MD.

Only want the service parts, (per OEM manual, field service) will not let some one else touch it.

Will give your shop a chance, for parts.

Grey Wolf ADS must consider passing 1st grade (CERTIFIED)

Of 2 listed for my state (east/west) I would not let the one three miles from me change a light bulb. I took 2 working rotory units there and both came back in worse shape. Then took them to the OEM approved station

Who said they were rigged and would never work? While I waited they stayed late and repaired as new, returning a box of old parts as I watched and several ounces of metal filings inserted at the ADS site. (Iron in an aluminum pump) Cost 70% less to do it correctly.

Most of these kids never saw an inline pump.

jkern The truckers call it D' infection

These pumps will run atleast 10,000 hours, with a little maintainence.

have 5 fuel filters/screens

Fuel supply always under head pressure with 2 charge pumps and bypass to keep pressure up in pump.

Also oil in sump

Just curious mmi... do you collect and restore Farmall MDs? It sounds like you have lots of them. I have a Super M, but it's not diesel. I've got some Cletrac diesels though.

Not specificaly The engine design started in the 30's and MD's are most noted to people.

I Pick up any tractor that can reasonably be saved.

try to get many pieces of any part I need,as every day more are tossed from inventory shelves. Much of IH had been pieced out before '85 so it may take 6 or more transactions to get a part throught the system.

I have been told this little seal is made, sent to a wholesaler, passes paperwork through Dresser Ind. ,Komatzo,Fiat/New Holland Etc. Case/IH then down to the dealer who makes $1 on it. They will not take time for the paperwork

You have a similar problem, with less product having been available when Oliver closed up.

The parts I want are exterior owner service as stated in manual.

I have 3 quotes to repair the undamaged running pump cheapest.

$600 clean-test-adjust ,up to 4 hours labor ($150 hr)+

$125 gasket kit +

unlimited on unknown worn parts

Went to a sale Saturday in the next town . 3 tractors all in need /and had been run some time. with bad inj. pumps.

I asked why and got 5 more bad reports for the local repair site.

So take ADS certified with some salt and ask for references.

JDinterman: find the # yet? Find any crank bearings??
