A couple weeks ago I was doing some beta testing with my good friends at SP Diesel, and right when we got into it, my VP44 performed it's Swan Song, with a side of 1688 for good measure.

The boys at SP hooked me up with the pump(Thanks guys!) and we put it on last Monday.

Observations after 1 week.

No lope at idle whatsoever, still idles where my stock pump did.

It is most definitely smoother, no "burps" or anything now. It does feel like maybe another 50HP, but my methods involve the seat of my pants, nothing else.

I haven't hooked my comp box back up yet, but I did get a stealth box from B. I am not trying to hide anything as my warranty is history, just wanted a more solid connection, as about an inco of bare pump wire was exposed from me using a posi-tap, and messing with it here and there.

This thing fuels through the whole RPM range, and works well with my 100hp gogo sticks.

Haven't checked fuel economy yet, it will take a few tanks to see what's doing there.

I did gain 1 psi at idle(16psi) and I can pull it down to only 13psi.

I give this mod 2 stacks up!

Once warmed up, does your pump/truck still sound like normal when you slowly raise the rpms up from idle to say 2000. Stopping at a few places inbetween?

Mine does not...

I'll try to take a video of it and post it somehow.

Sounds normal to me so far.

I put one on a buddys truck this weekend and it sounds like a light miss from idle to 2000 rpms but then smooths out but if you apply a load to it is goes away and never misses a beat when u drive it. It runs real good with the pump other than that?

AScholting, that's exacty how I would describe it. Not very noticeable at idle, but anything above that with no load and it has a miss too it. With any load at all it is smooth as can be.

Just wondering if others with this pump had experienced the same...
