Silver Bullet? What's the question?
I have been running Industrial Injections Silver Bullet for sometime now, and upgraded from the SPS62 . As I have posted before the Silver Bullet's performance starts where the SPS62 leaves off. It's at the 70+ MPH. The Silver Bullet is great for drag racing, road rage etc. , not recommeded for heavy towing. Twins are better suited for that. If you are looking for an all around turbo, for towing, performance the SPS62 is the ticket. If you want to push higher in the 600+ hp level the Silver bullet has the ability to do that. In order to get the most out of the Silver Bullet, you need injectors, heavy fueling box, modified trans, intake, studs, fass or simular pump etc. The last dyno I put down 661 hp on d/f only and 712 hp with NOS. I have since installed a modified Industrial Injection CP3 pump, and expect to be at the 700+ hp on d/f and over 800+ hp on NOS and running 70+ psi boost. In another couple of weeks I will be able to verify my latest improvements. I use my truck as a daily driver and work truck, with no ill effects. Get 18. 2 MPG on hi-way, cruising at 80 MPH, 2 psi boost, 700* pyro, 207* temp.
I prefer a single over twins for my set-up and performance goals. Besides the initial large costs, Twins require a lot of modification, plumbing, maintance and tunnnig, etc. I'm not knocking twins, you just need to set-up your truck to what your specific goals and needs will be. The Silver Bullet has proven the durability to handle high horse power, boost, NOS and everything else you can throw at it.
The Silver Bullet is not for those as a replacement for a stock, or lightly modified truck. It likes lots of air and fuel and for those wanting extreme performance. Single turbo's have come a long way in recent years, and I think further improvements will be forth coming. For now I believe Industrial Injections Silver Bullet is the best high performance single turbo on the market today. Oo.
