Industrial Injection

-Super Phat Shaft 66

-Silver Bullet Phat Shaft 66

VS

HTT

ProStreet66

what is compairable to the HTT and which is the "big dog" NO FLAME wars I just want some options on chargers Ive heard alot of good things about the three turbos but I want to spend my money right. what are some pros/cons for the turbos

there is a obvious price difference from the HTT PS66 vs the II SilverBullet is it worth it? On that note is the PS66 equal to the SPS?

Ill be runnin a drag comp, water meth, 200hp sticks so EGTs will be kept in control with the water.

Both HTT and II have limited info on there websites

Thanks guys!

Ian

SPS66 and the Prostreet 66 are comparable chargers. They have an 71mm turbine wheel. The Silver bullet is 74mm turbine wheel. The silver bullet seems to make more boost, but seemed to light a little later than the prostreet. Once it starts to light hang on. Once it hit 15 psi it was gone like a blur.

Sooooo the Silver Bullet is larger than the other two. Is it still a "Phat Shaft"?

this truck will be a weekend toy but Id still like to tow our mowers around every once in awhile... . will the Silver bullet with the water keep me out of trouble?

Does the Phat Shaft have a polished housing like the silver bullet?

Cade- the head is still off. Chuck is sending me gaskets that should be in soon

John- Ill do that as soon as I get a L39 in trade for the visor  :-laf

Thanks

Ian

II has the phat shaft series, the Super Phat shaft series(71mm turbine wheel), and the Silver series (74mm wheel). I am sure they all can be polished. The silver bullets typically are the polished ones.

I can't compare the different chargers, but I am happy with my HTT. I have the HTT Pro Street 66 with polished compressor housing, and now with the new stainless steel, polished, 16 sq. cm. exhaust housing that also has bigger dual wastegate ports.

Silver Bullet series have ported wastegate housing and an additional spacer for more wastegate travel to get more air out of the motor. I have an original SPS 66 but have the ported housing now, it will get upgraded to a Silver Bullet before too long I'm sure but it is going strong and I have no gripes at all with it for 2. 5 years now.

Jim I think the new SPS and the Prostreets have the spacers on the wastegates. I know the prostreet on my truck that was bought last summer had one.

Yes, HTT uses a spacer also, but the real gain comes from bigger ports. The stock 14 housing has small 5/8" diameter ports; the stainless housing has 1" ports. Thus, it flows a lot better, like a big housing for top end power. Being stainless, it traps heat better than cast iron, and a 16 sq. cm. stainless will spool up nearer to a cast iron 14 housing, while giving more airflow. Your wastegate may be opening only a few thousandths of an inch, so the area of the holes is ver significant for flow.

which is be bigger turbo then? the silver bullet?

Of the three what is the best for my setup

(Ill be upgrading to 200hp sticks)

Thanks guys!

I just got off the phone with Shane at I. I. great source of info!!!! Silver bullet is looking bright!!

Thanks guys

Ian

Quicker or sooner? Prostreet 66 will spool sooner neither is laggy, but when the Silver Bullet goes, it goes. . I ran both on a 12V and a 24V. I noticed it more on a 12V than I did the 24V.

Any dyno numbers on that swap between the turbos?

Shane made it sound like the Phat Shaft66 is pretty much the same as the ProStreet66 and the Silver Bullet was in its own league... . any in put on this?
