Are there any ill effects such as compromised driveline angles or steering problems or braking issues, rubbing... etc, that will cause me to have major headaches if I put 35 inch tires on my truck. I saw some Parnelli Jones tires on a truck in a parking lot(owner absent) and am interested in getting a set. I tow rarely but do occasionally(once a month) load close to 3200lbs of granite slabs in the bed. Anybody else who has done this? Your experiences and lessons will be most appreciated.

Thank you.

No ill effects on my '06. Without a leveling kit, 35's will rub slightly on the upper control arms when turning sharply. The larger tires actually smoothed out the ride alot, and I like the higher effective gear ratio it gave. I say go for it!

I've been running 35s on my 2005 3500 for about 20k miles now. No issues whatsoever. ENafziger is correct that you'll get some rubbing. I did the leveling kit and still occasionally get some rubbing.

My 04. 5 rolled off the lot with BFG 35's, I am now running a 35" ProComp Extreme A/T's, and I've never had any ill effects from either set.

How do you like the Pro Comp extreme A/Ts compared to the BFGs? Is the Extreme A/Ts E rated tires? I am thinking about going to these when my Toyo MT tires wear out. Thanks, Sam.

Yes, the ProComps Extremes are E rated, and I love them. You can see pics in my readers gallery.

They balanced real well and the ride great, I run 50 psi front and 40 psi rear. (tire pressures) I don't haul anything but @$$ Oo. so I don't need all that air back there.

I put 35's on my 03 a week after I picked it up (new) and have 50,000 miles on it now. Am going to try the 37" Procomp Extreme A/T as soon as tehy show up. Ran BFG's in the summer and Procomp A/T's in the winter. Going to tweak lift for 3/4 to 1 1/2" more when they get here after I see how they fit with 5. 25" backspaced wheels.
