Illflem.....where'd he go?

Whatever happened to Illflem? Last post I can find from him was the end of '03! Surely it's not been that long since he posted on here.

I think he got into hot water with one of the moderators. There was a period there where a robust sense of humor and/or politics could get you banned pretty quickly.

Yea, I did one of my 90++ hr work weeks and when I emerged he was gone.

Never got the whole story.

Something about posting under another members name.

I know he was on Oil Burners for a while, but that was a while back. . I haven't even been over there in some time...

Illflem did fall afoul of one of the moderators but it was not for his sense of humour but something else I'm not allowed to elaborate on. His knowledge is greatly missed. He is still around. I saw him post here once and only once since his banishment about 6 months ago or so.

i think he is still floating around on the dtr. . i haven't been on that site in over a year so i don't know for sure. .

He did not fall afoul of one of the moderators. Here's the post where Robin explained what happened to the extent possible: https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/other-members-only/87638-loss.html#post782949 . It was a loss to the site but unforetunately we were forced to take action. He was a moderator at the time and moderators are held at least to the same standard as members although actually a little higher.

Wow. So it was back in '03. I hate that. Oh well, politics and religion, two subjects best left alone amongst friends or they will become enemies. Thanks Steve.
