Any place to get r dynoed in northern IL?

2nd Drag Race this weekend 4/28 @ Union Grove - Win $700

There will be a dyno day just outside of Coffeen, Illinois Saturday, April 28. John from Floor It will be providing the dyno - $60. 00 for 3 runs. Testing will be first come, first serve and may be limited depending on attendance. We plan on starting about 10:00 a. m. This is the first year for a dyno in this area, so we have no idea what type of attendance to expect.

Coffeen is located about half-way between St. Louis, MO and Springfield, IL. It's not far from Interstate 70 (Vandalia exit - about 20 miles) or Interstate 55 (Litchfield exit - about 25 miles). Feel free to contact me via email or pm me for more information or directions if you are interested.

I might go if I find the time. I am changing my injectors and turbo here soon so it will give me a reason... .....

Hey James, I need to put my new injectors in too. Where do you live in STL, willing to help(if need be) for some returned help. Maybe a garage too... . mine has a jeep in it and too small of a door:-laf

I am by no means a good mechanic... . lol ( I only own 3 power tools... drill, dremel, and sawzall ... . everything gets done by hand)I cant get mine in the garage anymore now that I have my stack. My new clutch is being installed on mon/tues by a buddy who has a transmission shop. After that I will try and venture putting in my injectors and turbo. I live near 141 and 40. What sticks are you throwing in?

Can you just come and watch???? I'll be in Effingham all week. But, you got me on where Coffeen is. I know where Vandalia is, there are two exits for it from I-70. Is this on Rt. 51 South toward Centrella?

Coffeen is on Route 185 out of Vandalia towards Hillsboro - either exit off 70 will get you there. Anyone is welcome to come and watch - we are starting at 10 and we will dyno until we're done.

It is out in the country, so you might want to map it on MapQuest or a similar site. We will have some signs up once you get closer to Coffeen.

Please feel free to send me a message for the specific address or for more information.

141 and 40! Thats town and country, they don't like our kind 'round there:-laf Seems like you have all the tools I have, but I have a couple hammers I can loan ya. As for injectors, thats changed. Traded 'em for a TST pm3, we'll see how that and the Comp compare, maybe see if they stack well:confused: I will be needing some bigger injectors soon though, thinking arond 100HP, depending on the brand, might be stg. 3 or so. I've done turbos before, not to hard, just let them cool for awhile before you try to take it out;) Or wear welding gloves:-laf :-laf Holler back if you still want a hand, I'm off Fri.

Yes, the dyno will handle the truck - you will have to pull the outside dual on one side. We will have a jack and some tools (limited supply) on hand. If your truck requires something special, you might want to bring it with you.

To get technical... I really live in unincorporated St. Louis County, but go 1000 yards in any direction you will be in 1 of 3 different municipalities. Yet my zip is ballwin, I kind of wonder about the moron on the zoning board:confused: and you are right about them not liking our kind around here. You will get pulled over for looking at the cops let alone actually doing something.

Anyways, if you feel like wrenching on Friday thats fine with me I have to go somewhere at about 2:45 but I am free until then. It is supposed to rain though and I don't have a covered place to work, just the driveway. Shouldn't take too long to swap out a turbo... where abouts are you at?

I live in Lemay, at the Bayless/Lemay Ferry intersection. If it doesn't rain I'll have some concrete to pour out in Robertsville with my dad, but if it rains I could probably take my jeep out and we could use my garage if you want. Our trucks won't fit in there, but we'll have someplace dry to work.

Sounds good. I am in no real hurry to swap out my parts, so we could shoot for another weekend if need be. You are not really that far away... I guess the weather will decide for us. Nice wheels on the truck by the way!

Thanks, when I bought my truck, I thought to myself, "Self, you have a 35K dollar truck, we just can't slap any old wheel on there". So I got me some Centerlines:) As for some wrenching time, there are more days out there. If you're going to be in South County, and you know ahead of time, gimme a holler. Gets pretty boring down here with a wife that thinks I'm wasting my money on my truck and all my other friends live to far away... yeah yeah, I hear the violin playing..... :{

Bad news guys, Uncle Sam is sending me to NC the 25th, I highly doubt I will be done and back in time to go. Take pics and let me know how it goes. :{
