I'm a grandpa again!!

7:55 This morning my oldest son and his wife had a baby girl.

Mother and daughter doing well this, is number 7 for me.

Congrats!!! Grandkids are sure a lot more fun than kids. I have five of them. When any of my son's three boys is giving him trouble I just grin at him. He usually responds with an obscene gesture. HEE HEE!! I love playing with my grandkids. Wonderful, Gus!

Speedo, You have upped me by three. I have four grandsons and the oldest was born on Christmas Day. We use another day in December to celebrate his birthday so as not to short change him with the Christmas Day activities. One day later and you could have joined me with out of step birthdays.

My first grandchild was born on 1 August 02. Beautiful little girl. Finally got to see her (and her 2-year old sister - different dad) this past Thanksgiving weekend.



You have to visualize this:



I've said for years that when one of my kids come over with their kids to visit, during the summer and the temps are waaaayyy up there, and my son or daughter is still standing at the front door talking, with their young one already in the car seat in the back of the nice, shiny, cloth-upholstered mini-van, (naturally with the doors open) I'll go out to see the precious one and hand him or her an open can of grape soda and an unwrapped HERSHEY bar, tell them grandpa loves them and to be good, and then walk away.



I think my kids would be really appreciate the fact I was looking out for my grandchild's thirst and hunger needs, don't you?
