Its why over the years "good-bye cruel forum" posts often seem more as wanting to vent or looking for attention, than anything serious. I get it, people can get angry and blow off steam. Only human, I've done it to but it's still funny! :)

After telling us off, saying you'd not come back, saying you wanted nothing to do with us, and asking us to permanently ban your account, you didn't stand by your words very long.

And you obviously you didn't delete my account as requested. Heck, my old account is still up with all of the info and pictures I've posted over the years, including pics of me, my wife and children. I asked you to remove all of that content a few years ago but I was denied with claims, saying that it would interrupt the flow of the forum.

I also want to thank you personally for sharing private message content (highly illegal) between myself and TDR on this public forum. I really appreciate the above and beyond effort to maintain privacy for your members.

One has to be careful what you post on the internet, PERIOD! It lives forever! Just ask some of the people on other social media platforms who have posted stuff and are unable to find work or get promotions! Even if it's a vent/rant, the information is out there. Any and all info typed becomes property of the forum. It's all buried in the user agreements that we all tend to check the box without even reading because it would take a month to figure out. Trend lightly. They do provide a political forum for the paid members to vent within reason. @GroundSquirrel, welcome back! I would hope that we can share information on our trucks for others who may have issues or questions. Some may be afraid to invest in our trucks due to $ or diesel engine. Hopefully this forum can help them with their decision.

I wish that was true. I posted the restoration of a '54 Ford Skyliner I'm working on faithfully on the '54 Ford Club of America in a build thread. The club dissolved, my build thread is gone. The home page is still there, but the forums.......not. https://www.1954ford.com/

You did not send a "private" message. You used the contact form.

Legally, the closest thing you have to an expectation of privacy is in places where are laws governing it (like the EU), and in those places the only legal expectation is that personally identifying information. I have not disclosed any personally identifying information.

I've obliged your request, and banned your account.
