I hope Lloyd steps up and can explain what transpired... I picked it up tonight.

All I will say is the truck hasn't been this smooth since it was new. Completely different truck... smooth, quiet, and unbelievable power! Now I know why everyone likes DonM's injectors... I don't think this thing ran this good the first go around!

I must say Don and Lloyd went above and beyond on this one... I will leave Lloyd step in and tell the rest.

I just can't get over the difference... the power is phenomenal, the boost builds faster, and it seems to run lower EGTs.

I only did two WOT runs on the 135 mile drive home... . it simply pins you back and pulls like a freight train... no vibrations, no lag, no rumbling, no straining... just flat out pulls!

A completely different animal than the slug I drove down there three weeks ago...

Check this out...



Started it this AM... only around 35*F outside. Truck started fine, idled fine, and the most notable difference is the fact the RPM doesn't change with the cycling of the grid heaters!?!



Before (and for as long as I can remember noticing) the idle of this truck would dip/roughen every time the grid heaters pulled in... the idle would smooth/raise when the heaters would drop out.



Now there is absolutely no change besides the lights dimming and the FASS moaning a little louder. The tone of the exhaust doesn't even change... before it would noticeably change with the grid heater cycling (you can see this in the video I posted above)...

Saw this thread and your misery, but everything is fine. Like your description of the 'new' beast! What exactly did they do? The only thing I have on my 03 is Hypertech Max Energy and K&N filter. Runs great at 168K... .

Because of time constraints, they installed my nozzles on new stainless steel bodies... no chip, no programmer... just a stock truck with new sticks and 40HP nozzles.



If things continue to work well over the next month of traveling, I'll most likely buy a Smarty Jr from Lloyd.

It's a shame they couldn't figure out the original injector failure. But Don M masked the problem with a new set.

I don't agree I think it was beat to death and the bodies should have been swapped out earlier. Since there is no way to test for intermittant injector issue on the car why stress so much for so long ? These injectors fire so many times per mile. I doubt most of us could do the math on a single sheet of paper with out a calculator for how many events were on his origional bodies

Its not that they just threw parts at it... this was the fastest way to get me back on the road.

I know nothing more about the old ones than I have already posted. All I do know is that my issues seem to have been resolved... got around 500 miles on it, and will add another 700 miles this weekend.



Maybe Lloyd will chime in at some point?
